Apollo Group respects your right to privacy under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act), in particular the 13 Australian Privacy Principles which deal with the collection, management and disclosure of your personal information.

This Privacy Policy outlines how Apollo Group collects, uses and manages your personal information.

1. Your personal information is important to Apollo Group.

Apollo Group is committed to protecting your personal information, and respects that you have a right to make your own choices about how your personal information is collected and used. Apollo Group acknowledges that when you provide your personal information, you do so trusting that Apollo Group will only collect and use your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, unless you authorise Apollo Group to do otherwise.

2. What personal information does Apollo Group collect and hold?

The term ‘personal information’, when used in this Privacy Policy, has the meaning given to it in the Privacy Act.  It is information that can be used to personally identify you and includes:

3. How does Apollo Group collect information about you?

Except as stated in this Privacy Policy, Apollo Group will not collect or use your personal information without your consent. Apollo Group collects your personal information when you:

  • provide Apollo Group your personal information and contact details;
  • order or purchase Apollo Group products and/or services;
  • enter your personal information on the Apollo Group website;
  • interact with Apollo Group through social media (including Facebook and Twitter);
  • contact Apollo Group, Apollo Group may also keep a record of that contact, including any personal information provided by you.

4. What happens if we cannot collect your personal information?

If you do not provide us with the personal information described above, Apollo Group may be unable to:

5. Apollo Group use of cookies.

Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to your computer’s hard disk for record keeping purposes. Apollo Group uses cookies to make your use of the Apollo Group website and services as convenient as possible, such as by customising your web browser’s access so that you can instantly see upcoming events when you visit the Apollo Group website. 6. Using and disclosing your personal information.

In seeking to give you the most worthwhile experience in using the Apollo Group website your personal information may be used to send you advertisements about products and services that Apollo Group thinks you are likely to be interested in.

Apollo Group does not disclose your personal information to advertisers.  Instead, advertisers provide Apollo Group with advertisements and informs Apollo Group of the kind of audience they wish to reach. Apollo Group then takes the advertisement and displays it to users who are most likely to have an interest in the product or service.

In order to operate the Apollo Group website, fulfil the purposes set out above or otherwise deliver products or services, Apollo Group may share your personal information with its corporate partners, when you agree to receive direct marketing from such third parties. Apollo Group will not otherwise disclose your personal information to other companies or third parties without your explicit consent.

7. You can access the information Apollo Group keeps about you.

If at any time you want to know what personal information Apollo Group holds about you please email Apollo Group at .  All requests for personal information must include proof of identity and should include your phone number in case Apollo Group needs to contact you.  Once proof of identify has been confirmed the file of your personal information retained by Apollo Group will be made available to you.

8. Changing and updating the information Apollo Group has about you.

Apollo Group will take all reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we collect, use or disclose is accurate and complete.  If at any time you need us to change your personal information please email Apollo Group at . All requests to change personal information must include proof of identity and should include your phone number in case Apollo Group needs to contact you.  Once proof of identify has been confirmed Apollo Group will amend your personal information accordingly.

9. Deleting information Apollo Group has about you or stopping further advertising material.

If you wish to have your personal information deleted, please email Apollo Group at . All requests to delete personal information must include proof of identity and should include your phone number in case Apollo Group needs to contact you. Once proof of identify has been confirmed Apollo Group will take all reasonable steps to delete such information unless it must be kept for legal reasons.
If you do not wish to receive further advertising, marketing or promotional information from Apollo Group, please follow the instructions on the Apollo Group website to unsubscribe (where that facility is available) or send an email to Apollo Group at  and ask to be removed from Apollo Group’s mailing list.

10. Apollo Group Response Times.

Apollo Group will endeavour to respond to your request, enquiry or complaint as quickly as possible.  When your request is to access, change or delete any of your personal information please allow at least 14 days for Apollo Group to process your request.

11. Storage and security of your personal information.

Apollo Group will take all reasonable steps to keep the personal information which Apollo Group holds about you secure and protected from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Apollo Group continually endeavours to improve security safeguards in line with current industry standards, however unfortunately no data transmission over the internet is totally secure.  Accordingly, Apollo Group cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat the technical measures put in place to secure your personal information. Apollo Group will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access to your personal information.

Apollo Group will destroy or de-identify your personal information when no longer needed or required to be held by law.

13. Apollo Group and links to other websites.

Apollo Group provides links to websites outside of Apollo Group’s website. Before disclosing your personal information on any other website, Apollo Group advises you to examine the terms and conditions of those websites.

14. Future changes

Apollo Group reserves the right to change its Privacy Policy at any time and notify you by posting an updated version of the policy on the Apollo Group website.  The amended Privacy Policy will apply whether or not Apollo Group has provided you with specific notice of any changes or updates.
