Constellation Resources holds the Orpheus Project, which comprises six tenements covering approximately 558km² in a prospective portion of the the Albany-Fraser Orogen (AFO), commonly referred to as the Fraser Range province of Western Australia, host to Independence Group NL’s (ASX: IGO) major Nova-Bollinger nickel and copper deposit.
The Orpheus Project includes a 70% interest in three mineral exploration licences and one mineral exploration licence application, and a further 100% interest in two exploration licences.
In the Fraser Range, certain Proterozoic mafic intrusion suites are prospective to host nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation. The region is currently experiencing high levels of exploration activity for nickel following the Nova, Silver Knight, Mawson and Lantern discoveries.
Through systematic exploration, Constellation has uncovered a highly promising nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE geochemical anomaly that is interpreted to be over three kilometres in strike and up to 400 metres wide – named the Eyre Anomaly.
